Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $93,000.00 to $154,900.00.

Individual base pay compensation will depend, in part, on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills.

Position Details:
The Corporate Communications Manager leads the development of high impact internal company communications programs. You will support Grainger Business Unit communications, including but not limited to the sales functions, including high priority and complex communications assignments. You will lead communications planning and projects and will collaborate with business area team members and senior leaders. You will report to the Senior Manager, Communications.
You Will:
• Lead execution of deliverables for daily functional and initiative-based communications across the Grainger Business Unit
• Manage and improve communication channels; develop content for business initiatives; support stakeholder engagement strategies, large meeting communications and company strategy deployment.
• Develop standards and processes to improve communication efficiency and effectiveness, including GBU channel management, and serve as the functional SME for execution and metrics delivery.
• Provide communication counsel and support to Vice Presidents and Group Vice Presidents, including drafting and managing high-impact executive messaging.
• Translate complex initiatives and business priorities into meaningful narratives that are simple, engaging, and relevant to our audience and support business objectives.
• Manage comprehensive communication plans, key messaging, presentations, and supporting materials for high-priority and high-visibility initiatives; regularly report progress to senior leadership.
• Oversee multiple daily and project-based workstreams concurrently, identifying integration opportunities and removing roadblocks to ensure impactful, aligned communications across teams and functions.
• Collaborate on leader content development for key events such as the Grainger Show and Grainger Sales Meeting.
• Support the resolution of customer issues by partnering with internal cross-functional partners to ensure clear, timely and effective communication.
• Provide strategic support to teams responsible for deployment and change communications.
• Contribute to other GBU functional assignments as needed in support of the Sr. Manager, GBU Communications.
• Ensure Grainger’s brand and voice are consistently and positively represented across all communication materials.
• Operate as a business leader, contributing beyond the traditional communicator role.
You Have:
• 5+ years of experience across all dimensions of internal communications. External communications experience is a plus.
• Experience with supporting non-wired audiences/ sales teams, a plus.
• Direct experience supporting executive communications
• A willingness to experiment with new ways to communicate with team members
• Proven success working in a matrixed environment and leading large scale, complex change initiatives
• Experience consulting on strategic communications recommendations to both corporate and field clients
• Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset to deliver innovative and effective communication solutions
