W.W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking a Business Systems Engineer Senior - GUS in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Provide specialized business systems expertise within a designated business sub-domain, leveraging comprehensive domain knowledge to architect and recommending optimal solution frameworks for SAP ECC WM, EWM, and S/4HANA platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory compliance requirements; Design and deploy warehouse management processes (inbound, outbound, Inventory, Internal warehouse operations), analyze inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement through system and process enhancements; Diagnose and resolve functional and technical issues, monitor transactional data and interfaces, and provide ongoing support for production SAP/Non-SAP WMS environments to maintain uninterrupted operational performance and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs); Facilitate comprehensive end-to-end testing protocols—including Functional Unit Testing (FUT), System Integration Testing (SIT), Volume Performance testing (VPT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), author, validate, and maintain detailed technical and functional documentation as part of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Conduct effort estimation for development initiatives, design and validate proof-of-concept (POC) solutions, and systematically monitor, report, and analyze system performance metrics and application health indicators to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Up to 20% domestic travel to provide onsite support. Up to 80% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S.
Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $108,077 to $145,000 which reflects the potential base pay at the time of this posting. Base pay will depend on factors such as work location, relevant experience, and skills. Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion at any time, consistent with applicable law.
