Position Details: 

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the contractual acquisitions of our regional customers with MRO potential of $ 500K – 10 million, and ensuring the proper execution, transition and adoption of contracts are being implemented across all coverage types. 

A fundamental measure of success for the position will meet business development benchmarks and create sustainable revenue by developing business plans to grow. Negotiate regional contracts consistent with industry management goals. 

 
 

You Will: 

  • Be a leader in developing new strategic partnerships and contractual business with $500K to 10 million MRO potential. 

  • Increase customer base and add to existing customer profitability by signing contracts that ensure Grainger is an important MRO provider. 

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our client's industry, including industry trends, industry business processes, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and client competitors in their industry. 

  • Identify and develop strategies to achieve revenue goals and our mission. 

  • Promote and facilitate cross-selling of company-wide products, services and capabilities. 

  • Work with customer-facing teams to understand and develop actions to achieve the revenue target. 

  • Promote cross-functional integration solution-building and project plan execution. 

  • Communicate progress and provide early warning of issues and requests for assistance. 

  • Ensure strategic management of a new prospect pipeline that creates progress across multiple accounts. 

  • Manage the commercial and legal terms involving all partners within the customer. 

  • Work with Non-Acute Management, Senior Management, and Finance/Credit to design and apply business filters to gauge sales potential, profitability and internal cost savings. 

You Have: 

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent business experience 

  • 5+ years Sales Performance selling a structured value proposition. 

  • 2+ years sales experience selling to complex and multi-site customers in a sales hunting capacity.
