General Description

IT Engineers design, build, test, deploy, and support products, platforms, and solutions. We are looking for an infrastructure engineer who is detail-oriented, proficient with technologies and hardware, and who flourishes in high-pressure environments. Infrastructure engineer will work with numerous software programs, Warehouse Managements systems, and other technical staff, and often need to do field analysis and maintenance. Their responsibilities include upgrading and improving operating environments, creating repair strategies, and providing technical support.


IT Engineers use the latest methods, tools, and principles (e.g., Lean, Kanban, and Agile) to continuously deliver a value stream to the customers and businesses they serve. They understand how to leverage modern architectural components to design modular, flexible solutions.  IT Engineers highly value reuse of existing assets and, where appropriate, commercially available components and products, to avoid reinventing the “wheel.” IT Engineers design and build for safety, resilience, and reliability. 



Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • Build, Configure, and Maintain Hybrid IT systems: Expertise in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems. Integrates services from cloud, third party, and on prem. Leads prioritization of requirements and matching of resources with requirements.
  • Hardware knowledge – routers, servers, PCs, printers, and other equipment
  • Software knowledge- IT infrastructure engineers work with a variety of software. A working knowledge of how these various systems interact virtually helps the engineer conduct rapid troubleshooting
  • Work with stakeholders to support vendor implementations while enforcing requirements from network, security and server teams.
  • Install and configure software and various releases, patches we receive from our vendors.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages –document findings for root cause analysis sessions and create action plans to resolve.
  • IT Standards, Procedures & Policies – Knowledge of and the ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to manage organizational IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Infrastructure standards and practices: Writes and researches standards and practices for infrastructure solutions. Creates new ways of solving existing issues and improving existing practices.
  • Documentation: Ensures documents of new or modified infrastructure solutions are in compliance.
  • System Health. Leads health checks of environments to assess and improve configuration, controls, and performance.
  • Communication: Able to convey highly technical details to business stakeholders in non-technical fashion.


Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Experience in multiple IT disciplines
  • Strong track record supporting large scale projects and system enchantments
  • Highly specialized in SAP Warehouse Management systems
  • Strong understanding of Distribution Center Technologies such as sockets, micro boxes and Programmable logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Understanding of network principles such as the OSI Model, Subnets, and VLANs.
  • Strong understanding of Operational Technology like Industrial Networks and Industrial Control Systems.
  • Strong Communication capabilities customer service and client management skills.
  • Strong grasp of automation tools and DevOps concepts.
  • 5+ years infrastructure experience & IT industry experience.
