Position Details:

The Cross Referencing Team provides the ability to identify Grainger products for customer opportunities, allowing for sales of those products to customers. As the Supervisor, Cross Referencing Services, you will lead, manage, and coach a team of Cross Reference Specialists and/or an Associate Project Manager who help our sales team to grow sales and increase market share by managing all cross-reference project request. This is achieved through balancing team workload, ensuring strong quality, scheduling projects within the team and maximizing team productivity. You will report to and assist the Sr. Manager, Cross Reference Services.


You Will:

  • Establish and maintain customer level strategic alliances with important internal and external partners, focusing on delivering relevant business solutions
  • Provide Cross Referencing subject matter expertise for our internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with aligned Sales team to ensure goals are supported with desired levels of performance and act as liaison to resolve cross referencing-related issues
  • Accountable for team operational workflow, including implementing policies and procedures, monitoring and addressing attendance and performance issues
  • Monitor team's measurements in important areas such as productivity, cycle-time, success rate, and revenue generation
  • Adopt and engage continuous improvement methodologies to evaluate tools, processes, and resources and participate in projects to increase customer impact and experience
  • Facilitate periodic audits of projects, together with the Quality Control team, to identify areas of improvement and provide coaching feedback to the Cross Reference Specialist
  • Collaborate with the aligned Associate Project Manager to pre-qualify projects and provide feedback on additional needs to best deploy resources to meet our customers' needs
  • Facilitate, review, and troubleshoot work schedule variances and address issues related to the daily operations of the team and to meet project deadlines and customer expectations


You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Experience directly or indirectly leading a team
