Position Details:

Grainger Sourcing (aka special orders) provides an important component to our value by fulfilling customers' unmet product needs through Sourcing's network of 14k+ suppliers. As Sr. Analyst, Sourcing Process Improvement & Quality, you will implement and maintain a system of quality governance, generating insights into process and team member performance, informing on process and training improvements, documenting standard process, identifying task owners, driving end-to-end continuous improvement, and providing recommendations to Sourcing leadership. You will have an important impact on our ability to onboard team members and support existing team members with accurate and accessible resources, standardized processes, set a new quality standard, and partner with teams across the business to improve the end-to-end experiences. You will report to the Sr Manager, Sourcing Operations.


You Will:

  • Support the design and implementation of a quality program and resource toolkit that promotes a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Identify, document, and maintain standard processes and process owners.
  • Create process improvements and communicate and measure adoption/success of updates.
  • Establish process, tools, and literature governance to improve record retention, reliability, and accessibility of the resources Sourcing team members use to support standard process.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain metrics that support key initiatives and help leaders understand the health of their processes and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Build partner relationships at all levels throughout the organization to gain agreement around current and future opportunities.
  • Identify, lead, and manage projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes, tools, and resources.
  • Support change management using best practice methodologies.
  • Create messaging, both informal and formal, to gain agreement with partners
  • Be a subject matter expert within Sourcing.


You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field or related experience.
  • 3+ years related experience in Sourcing, Supplier Management, Sales, Customer Strategy, Operations, Project/Program Management, Process Improvement, or Business/Finance, or other relevant experience.
  • Experience partnering with customers, suppliers, customer service centers, and sales teams.
  • Proficiency using data and reporting tools (e.g. Teradata, PowerBI) to perform data analysis and make data-based decisions
