Position Details:

Grainger Sourcing provides an important component to our value by fulfilling customers' unmet product needs through Sourcing's network of 14k+ suppliers. As Manager, Sourcing Offer & Strategy, you will collaborate on the design and execution of a comprehensive Sourcing strategy that strengthens customer and seller relationships and enables Sourcing to provide best-in-class customer and business outcomes. You will define Sourcing's offer and positioning strategy, design and implement a cohesive pricing strategy, and own the end-to-end customer and seller experience. You will report to the Sr Mgr, Customer Strategy.

You Will:

  • Proactively coach and assess strengths and development opportunities to support team member growth and performance.
  • Design, implement and maintain a pricing strategy that allows us to extract the maximum value for an opportunity while considering cost to serve.
  • Develop offer positioning to ensure sales partners have the tools necessary to pursue only opportunities that create the most shared value for Grainger and our customers.
  • Evaluate and improve the end-to-end customer experience, with simplified processes and communication channels for our field partners and customers to create an easier, more seamless experience with improved visibility and customer outcomes.
  • Scope and manage projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and tools.
  • Build partner relationships at numerous levels of the organization to gain agreement around current and future strategies.
  • Guide change management within sourcing teams and with partners (e.g. Sales, Customer Service, MSM, Supply Chain) using best practice methodologies.
  • Create messaging, both informal and formal to gain alignment with partners on customer solutions.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years experience with Sourcing, Supplier Management, Sales, Customer Strategy, analytics, or technology implementation or related field
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives, projects and programs
  • Experience defining research and summarizing insights to inform strategy development.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to guide fact-based decision-making and recommendations.
