Position Details:
The Global Network Design Manager will provide leadership, insight and structure into the development of the Supply Chain network strategy. The role partners closely with all facets of the supply chain and is integral in leading cross functional discussions, designing innovative and transformative solutions to complex problems, and gaining stakeholder alignment. You should enjoy working within a company where supply chain is front and center. You will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering Design. This is a hybrid role located in Lake Forest, IL.
You Will:
- Develop supply chain architectural solutions to support our goals and take advantage of new industry trends, competitive positioning, customer trends, and business trends.
- Develop supply chain network capacity models to optimize space and throughput
- Identify and partner with third-party logistics providers to support the supply chain network as applicable
- Lead cross-functional projects and gain alignment and resource support of stakeholders.
- Articulate the cost and service impacts that strategic initiatives will have on the supply chain network infrastructures.
- Monitor active project program status to ensure necessary initiatives are completed on time to support business goals
- Stay abreast of and interpret corporate strategic initiatives as they relate to the supply chain architecture; build solid links between logistics strategy, business goals, customer’s requirements and marketplace realities.
- Highlight differences in emerging business trends and articulate impact to SC and the Executive Leadership Teams.
- Use analytical methods and mathematical models to understand, predict and improve logistics operations, architecture, flows and processes.
- Share knowledge and expertise to improve team and solutions developed within it
You Have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in multiple areas: distribution, merchandising, strategy development, finance, marketing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Bachelor’s degree with focus in Business Management, Business Strategy, Finance, Engineering and/or Operations Research.
- Experience working with large datasets (up to 100M lines). Experience with summarizing, identifying patterns and connecting data to achieve our goals.
- Ability to think on a broad canvas to understand problems, impacts and solutions across all areas of the organization.
- Leverages financial, quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions.
- Ability to adjust recommendations as new information becomes available.
- Demonstrated understanding of complex, high SKU distribution networks and execution of order fulfillment strategies
