Position Details:

You will lead a team that develops pricing programs for Contract customers that are aligned with the customer needs, the competitive market and balance growth and profitability outcomes. Drive improvement in customer price perception and develop offers that capture Grainger's value proposition and are easy to implement and scale across large number of customers across multiple customer segments that are supported by both inside (telephone) and direct sales teams. Act as representative of Director, Pricing in strategic projects and initiatives.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Standard and Custom Pricing.

 

You Will:

  • Develop pricing strategies which balance customer price & value perceptions, market conditions, profitability, and business strategy
  • Lead the development and delivery of critical pricing and profitability programs for Contract customers
  • Establish goals and assess performances of pricing strategies and programs
  • Drive continuous improvement, compliance and adherence to pricing guidance, governance, and tools
  • Leverage internal and external market information to enhance and improve pricing strategies
  • Build support for new strategies across senior leadership and partners
  • Lead team of analysts, managing their development and engagement

 

You Have:

  • Master's or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Pricing experience including advanced knowledge and experience using pricing models & analytics to drive strategic decisions
  • Experience in B2B distribution industry and good understanding of end to end processes
  • Strategic consulting skills with ability to assess needs of business and develop effective strategies that meet topline and bottom line goals
  • Strong strategic, analytical, planning and organization skills
  • Understanding of go to market business models
  • Ability to understand, synthesize and explain methodologies and outcomes to senior leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels within organization and externally
  • Strong decision –making ability to include skill at balancing strategy and execution, evaluating contrasting perspectives.
  • Experience working in large matrixed organizations
