PRIMARY FUNCTION

Provide professional management and administration relating to all credit matters inclusive of Fraud and Special Collections. This involves continuous investigation and research designed to assist in formulating credit objectives, policies, plans and programs to ensure positive contributions to economic earnings and increased shareholder net worth, continued sales growth and profitability. Oversee the Customer Hierarchy Process. Alignment to meet emerging business needs, keeping customer focus in tandem with Customer Service, Sales and Branch Operations. Fraud: This involves mitigating fraud to reduce bad debt loss by working with a third-party provider and leading fraud strategy as well as working cross functionally to implement new process and actions to further mitigate the risk of fraud loss. Special Collections Department (SCD): This involves managing the processing of the company's delinquent receivables utilizing an external collection agency and attorneys. Manage write-offs, chargebacks, bankruptcies and provide information to legal counsel for litigation requests. Manage lien wavers, vouchers, and notary requests. Partner and communicate with all areas of the business to write-offs and aging. Work with FSS Support team to enhance and/or streamline processes and procedures.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direct manage to 5-10 team members, communicate Company strategy, direction and vision to align and achieve organizational objectives through efficient use of resources and talent.
  • Create an environment in which team members become trained to be capable of making decisions and accepting responsibility/consequences of their independent related decisions.
  • Foster opportunities for growth, development, and advancement of team members.
  • Participate in the development and lead execution of department strategy as well as policies and procedures.
  • Establish relationships with the Sales organization, at all levels
  • Leverage stat insight to make large scale decisions to benefit the management of Credit accounts and team member productivity.
  • Drive sales support and profitable revenue growth: Engage the Sales organization, internal business partners and Customers as a financial, business and problem-solving resource.
  • Credit * Manage the extension and administration of credit to ensure compliance with company policy and legal statutes. The credit extension process may include local bank and trade references, prior history, sales recommendations, D&B reports, customer visits, and analysis of financial statements. * Manage exposure and mitigate risk on open account sales to minimize amount of bad debt write-offs. * Authority to extend Credit Limits to a single customer up to ~$1M.
  • Build a Continuous Improvement culture by making problems visible, challenging the status quo and promoting tools and methodologies that generate process improvements required to drive standardization and effectiveness.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience BA/BS Degree in business preferred.
  • 5+ years Related field preferred.
  • 2+ years management/supervisory experience with responsibility in finance, credit, collections, and process resolution. preferred.
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of management, internal and external customers.
  • Able to recognize, attract and develop talent.
  • Able to manage and lead virtual teams.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of business principals including credit and collections, financial statement analysis, commercial law, banking and finance Intermediate.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Demonstrated writing/oral communication and presentation skills across vertical/horizontal lines of organizational structures.
  • Take initiative with strong initiative willing to innovative, using discretion and collaboration.
  • Premium value placed on ethics and integrity.
  • CCE-Certified Credit Executive preferred.
