PRIMARY FUNCTION

Effectively sourcing product requires efficient processes, clear communications, and seamless handoffs from seller request to customer invoice. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading the supervisors and their teams to provide a timely, accurate, and competitive quote to customers.
Success in this role would be shown managing and developing supervisors and their team members, evidenced by positive customer, supplier and business partner experiences, efficient cycle times, quality of quote processing, and frictionless handoffs between Sourcing, seller, and supplier.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads leaders of people who are responsible for sourcing execution tasks- sourcing product, receiving RFQ from suppliers, and returning quote to the customer.
- Grow and maintain morale of team, leading through change.
- Manage the productivity/efficiency and quality aspects of the quoting process with Sourcing Supervisors to maximize conversion, quality, and Operating Earnings.
- Hire, manage and onboard Sourcing Supervisors to ensure KPI’s (Conversion, Service Level, productivity, and quality) are met.
- Manage team metrics at the department, team and individual level to drive resource allocation, process improvement and individual performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal partners and colleagues to ensure processes are effective while addressing the needs of the customer and the company.
- Manage various relationships with internal customers, external partners as well as third party suppliers as needed.
- Drive employee initiative to create and promote an environment where employees are involved, empowered, and committed to the success of the organization.
- Monitor and enhance employees’ individual performance through clearly defined expectations, training, coaching, and counseling to achieve or exceed required results regarding productivity, work quality and customer service.
- Leads and manages other strategic projects and initiatives as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, distribution, logistics or related experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing/sourcing/inventory management and/or process management in a supply chain driven organization.
- 3-5 years’ experience in managing teams
- Deep leadership experience, with a proven record of success leading leaders of people and managing team member engagement.
- Change agent, with a demonstrated ability to lead through transition, navigating the path forward while simplifying strategy to bring team members along.
- Highly Strategy thinker with the ability to translate strategy into action.
- Ability to partner cross-functionally across all levels of leadership to identify and execute against strategic goals.
- Ability to manage metrics and overall performance, drawing the appropriate insight and findings.
- Well organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams in the face of competing priorities.
- Operates on a clear sense of urgency, focused on executing while providing the best possible customer experience.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of professionalism.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish – read, write, speak).
