Position Details:

Indirect Procurement Operations supports suppliers and Grainger team members that source or purchase goods and services to run our business. As Sr. Operations Analyst, you will join the team responsible for managing supplier onboarding, procurement system issues, supplier communications, contract entry, renewal reporting, and contract maintenance. You will report to the Manager, Contract Operations.


You Will:

  • Help with the development, implementation, and tactical responsibilities of Contract Management including contract negotiation, entry, change management, and renewal.
  • Review contract and supplier data for standardization, completeness, and accuracy; identify value added reporting and address complex supplier issues to resolution
  • Oversee continuous improvement, implementation of process changes and measurement of the effectiveness of business processes to improve productivity and profitability by soliciting feedback, prioritize actions, and gain agreement and adoption from partners. Ensure improvements are customer-focused and aligned with our strategic direction and goals.
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of all processes performed and train users on process documentation to guide compliance of standard work processes. Manage and communicate metrics to ensure processes are in control and redefine metrics as business need changes
  • Help review analysts and specialists tactical work to provide feedback and ensure standard approach
  • Help develop reporting requirements to provide insights for decision-making
  • Maintain communication channels across all partners and suppliers.


You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in business operations, supply chain, engineering, contract management, supplier management or related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office functionality (e.g. Word, Excel, Access dB, PowerPoint)
