Position Details:

The Senior Visual Content Analyst is an expert in Publishing rich content guidelines and partners with Merchandising strategy to ensure that the visual rich content category review plan answers customer questions and positions Grainger to guide the best experience. You will help build the strategy and then translate the plan detail into the appropriate content workflows, balancing productivity with cost to ensure our content creation efforts are optimized to promote the best customer outcomes.

You will report to the Publishing Operations Manager.


You Will:

  • Participate in Category review meetings to understand merchandising visual and document rich content needs and develop the strategy around the creative using Publishing guidelines
  • Partner with Channel Merchandise Manager to ensure visual and document rich content direction is communicated in planning documents
  • Manage multiple desks (4-5), understanding the different strategies and then defining unique rich content strategies to ensure customers can make a selection
  • Be an expert in the Rich Content guidebook and how/when to use which content options to best serve end customer and unique category needs
  • Understand costs and Return on investment for all rich content types
  • Determine most effective workflow as to whether to create or curate the content and assign work to appropriate team


You Have:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand detail and take higher level strategic view
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 5 years experience in related field
  • Knowledge and application of business strategies; can evaluate costs/benefits of varying options
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office functionality, especially Excel (Macros, VBA, Pivot Tables, Lookups).
  • Able collaborator with leadership, our users, and technical personnel
  • Strong project management skills
  • Photography, Graphic Design or Visual Arts background a plus
