You Will

 

Oversee regulatory compliance for all products across the Grainger portfolio. Ensure products and suppliers meet all applicable safety and health regulations and industry standards. Apply any applicable restrictions for sale and hazard identifications for transport. Review, analyzes, and maintains compliance information related to environmental handling, safety, transportation, and other regulatory requirements for dedicated NA teams. Fulfill and support customer and partner inquiries for required compliance and safety documentation. You will report to Supervisor, Product Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze new product additions in the Grainger portfolio for applicable regulatory requirements across NA teams, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with all state, federal, and provincial laws
  • Research and interpret regulations and standards to ensure compliance with industry and agency standards for products, including any necessary labeling or documentation
  • Partner with third-party testing laboratories and inspection services to understand and action on regulatory updates, product testing requirements, applicable federal/state/provincial laws, or bans or sales restrictions on specified products
  • Maintain SDS database, ensuring documentation is received and stored, reviewed against regulations, and available for customers
  • Communicate product compliance, regulatory, and safety issues as they arise; propose appropriate action plan to leaders for resolutions. Resolve any identified issues.
  • Prepare and provide reporting on product compliance issues and impacts
  • Support SDS and labeling requirements to meet Global Harmonization Standard (GHS) and support all other upcoming regulation changes

 

You Have

 

  • Education – Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience
  • Experience – 1+ years of experience in related field
  • Skill – Reporting and Excel (can perform complex functions) skills. Product knowledge, laboratory testing, or product inspection/auditing experience or coursework a bonus.
  • Technical Knowledge – understand technical information, concepts, and decisions.
  • Use proprietary tools. sUe technical support or technical data to inform analysis.
