Primary Function:

  • Oversee performance management and optimization of core Paid Search marketing programs: SEM Text Ads and PLA
  • Implement the daily tactics to improve Paid Search revenue, new customers, site traffic, conversions, and incremental ROAS
  • You will report to the Paid Search Sr. Channel Lead

You Will:

  • Plan Paid Search projects, maintain targeted budget, develop relationships and control risks
  • Support and translate marketing strategies into successful PPC campaigns that are on time, on budget and result in desired outcomes
  • Manage the P/L of the Paid Search channel by tracking, reporting all PPC projects and campaigns
  • Manage Search Engine relationships – work with Google & Bing to ensure appropriate monthly budget target goals and remain current on the latest search engine features and tactics
  • Work with Marketing Data Optimization, Analytics, Merchandizing, Technology and other internal partners to implement recommendations that start with the customer
  • Manage Bid optimization tool and vendor relationship by incorporating best practices, performance metric goals and tool updates for each account
  • Improve keyword portfolio through testing, bid management, campaign structures, search query analyses, targeted messaging, extensions.
  • Work with internal partners and vendors to coordinate and communicate projects, determine strategy, implement deliverables and make campaign strategic recommendations
  • Build Product Listing Ads strategy for over a million SKUs and oversee product feed delivery to multiple vendors
  • Build and analyze tests (ad copy, landing page, strategic) that increase efficiency and engage customers with relevant value propositions aligned with their needs
  • Be a Paid Search expert by guiding continued innovation and industry best practices
  • Prepare and provide Search Marketing performance reports, data analyses and proposed action items to all teams
  • Develop Paid Search campaign strategy to support international teams at Grainger

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Computer Science, Advertising or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience managing large Pay Per Click programs for well-established online retailers
  • Agency or advertiser-side experience
  • Experience with search engine marketing process and best practices around campaign structure and optimization
  • Experience translating performance data into applicable insights using quantitative analysis
  • navigate and produce reports from analytics suites such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
  • Experience collaborating between organic and paid search programs
  • Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
