Position Details:

The Operational Communications Manager leads the development and execution of internal operational and change communications to Grainger Technology Group team members. The Manager must be able to balance projects and work collaboratively across different positions and business areas. Lead the planning, message development, and distribution/deployment for GTG team member communications and change communications. You will contribute to enhanced communications effectiveness, change readiness and adoption, and team member engagement. You will report to Sr Director, Communications.

You Will:

  • Manage the planning and execution for GTG team member communications including intake, review, vetting, collaboration with key stakeholders, development and distribution.
  • Build and package effective communications for the GTG audience including team member talking points, FAQs, content for the GTG traditional and social communications channels.
  • Work with GTG leaders, HR partners and Corp Communications to execute change communications for the GTG transformation.
  • Develop all messaging and plans for change and transformation support.
  • Support operational communications for Product, Portfolio, Platform priorities and ongoing releases.
  • Ensure communications efforts are integrated and aligned across teams to facilitate clear and consistent communications.
  • Manage communications calendar to plan and prioritize communications.

 


 

You Have:

  • 5 or more years of experience in related field (Communications or Technology)
  • Experience translating complex information into understandable and relevant communications to impact employee engagement
  • Experience developing communication strategy to impact employee engagement through a change process
  • Experience in matrixed environment to identify and engage internal resources is a plus
