Position Overview

The Lead Talent Acquisition Consultant develops and executes sourcing strategies for targeted roles – both niche/hard to fill roles. You will guide and coach the RPO firm on high-volume roles that require ongoing candidate pipelines. You will implement targeted sourcing strategies and achieve sourcing metrics and the hiring of high qualified candidates for the Grainger Business Unit organization. You will network, demonstrate tenacious search strategies and display your sourcing IQ. You will look closely at organizational/candidate fit and pitch our fantastic career opportunities to score the talent that is necessary for our growing businesses. You will report to Director, Talent Acquisition.

You Will

In an advisory capacity, as Talent Acquisition Consultant Lead you will work with Human Resource Managers and hiring leaders in a matrixed environment to:

  • Calibrate with Hiring Manager for new open positions with in-take discussion and create candidate profiles for each search
  • Create a targeted sourcing strategy that includes diversity sourcing methodologies and an effective candidate evaluation process
  • Develop project strategies and lead cross functional, complex projects
  • Source variety of positions from scare individual contributor roles to leadership positions for multiple departments
  • Coach other members of Talent Acquisition on best practices, methodologies and techniques.
  • Partner with RPOs to achieve results that align with Grainger's expectations and business goals.
  • Lead through process improvement projects for the Grainger Business Unit and the enterprise
  • Support training new team members and help with onboarding
  • Lead through execution of Strategic Alliance partnerships to support overall DE& I programs

You Have

  • BA/BS degree
  • 10 or more years experience as a recruiting/sourcing consultant; preferably with lead or coaching experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a corporate environment and preferred experience in a staffing firm
  • Experience sourcing for remote offices
  • Prefer candidates that have one of the following AIRS certificates (CIR, ACIR,C DR, CSSR, ECRE, PRC)
  • Expert level of knowledge in all sourcing components including qualifying candidates, networking, job analysis, salary trends and relationship management
  • Knowledge of local regulatory compliance and local employment law
  • Experience consulting and building credibility with hiring managers
  • Experience using external talent market knowledge to influence talent strategy
  • Proficiency using common desktop applications, sourcing tools, and social media
  • Ability to travel 10-15% to all areas of the US; where applicable adhering to CDC guidelines/company pandemic guidelines.
