Position Details:
As an Information Security Intern, you will work with security analysts, engineers, and architects who develop standards and governance, implement security solutions, monitor our environment for signs of compromise, and develop our ability to recover from a serious incident. You will have an opportunity to join a team that focuses on a specific security function, learn about what they do, and contribute to their mission.
You Will:
- Monitor Grainger environment for signs of compromise and respond to potential security incidents
- Record and manage cybersecurity risk mitigation
- Protect Grainger computer systems from internal and external threats
- Help your colleagues become more resilient to cyber threats
- Seek leadership experiences
- Communicate with appropriate team members, document processes, and make technical recommendations
- Use infrastructure tooling to provision resources and monitor essential platforms
You Have:
- Preferably pursue a degree in Information Security/Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems
- Expected graduation with a Bachelor's degree between Winter 2024 – Spring 2025
- General knowledge of Information Security field and concepts
- High level understanding of Information Technology concepts
- Knowledge of scripting (Python or PowerShell) is a plus
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Does not require sponsorship
