Position Description

- Using a variety of data sources, draw business insights from large data sets that improve the customer experience on Grainger.com

- Inform digital strategy, website development and digital technology investments through analytics
- Profile customers, analyze purchase behavior and functionality usage through digital channels
- Work with online and offline data to understand digital performance in context of the overall business
- Support the Digital Product Managers and User Experience teams to analyze opportunities and customer trends in the digital marketplace

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (analytics, math, statistics, economics, engineering, etc.). Advanced degree a plus. 

- Experience working with large datasets using tools such as R or Python [preferred], SQL, SAS, SPSS, etc.
- Some classwork or experience in statistical modeling
- Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a plus.
  Background in ecommerce or digital marketing also a plus.
 
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to in apply analytical skills in a business environment.

- Experience ranging from an internship to 3 years in a relevant role as an analyst.
