Compensation:

This position is hourly, and the starting pay rate is $14.80/hr plus commission

Position Details:

Actively Call on Grainger’s customer that are not assigned to a CSG to re- activate and re- engage customer with Grainger Puerto Rico; throughout the understanding of the customer business and purchasing needs. The main function is to generate demand within the unassigned customers cluster and to close the largest number of opportunities and quotes generated by those group of customers; seeking to increase the company's sales with a profitable margin.

 

 

You Will:

  • Make out- going calls to Unassigned Customers to generate demand, follow up on quotes and generate new clients.
  • Proactively interact with each account on a regular and ongoing basis, utilizing a wide array of available communication channels, to maximize their purchasing with Grainger through all of Grainger’s sales / service channels to drive and secure sales opportunities and sales.
  • Know in detail the operational processes, internal policies and business rules that must be applied in your daily work.
  • Know the details about the conditions of sale and payment, credits and guarantees.
  • Create and Submit quotes to customers. 
  • Submit Orders request to Customer Service Department.
  • Meet the individual/group sales goal.
  • Have a profitable profit margin in the company
  • Responsible for consistently keeping the records of the customers, accounts activities and any related information up to date in the CRM or Tools provided for this matter.
  • Exercise independent discretion and judgment to determine whether a potential customer qualifies to do business with Grainger, as well as negotiating transaction terms, conditions, and pricing for each existing and new account.

 

You Have:

  • Communicate verbally and in writing in an excellent manner transmitting the values ​​and levels of care and service Grainger
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Understand buying decisions, buying processes and cash flow dynamics of small to medium accounts.
  • Demonstrate an ability to create a positive Grainger experience during the first customer contact and have a Strong customer service focus and quality orientation.
  • Personal attributes must include assertiveness, high energy level, and resiliency. Ability to consistently “close” a sale.  Dynamic and capable to work with multi-tasks at once.  High sense of responsibility & urgency with excellent listening skills
  • Information and record keeping: Keep general contact information updated in account files or systems, using correct spelling and grammar.
  • Technical proficiency: Has working knowledge of voicemail, e-mail, Excel, word, power point and internet and web browsers.
  • Communication skills: Fluent bi-lingual, verbal & written English/Spanish. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Able to consistently up-sell. Understand and use basic selling techniques: open, probe, presentation, and overcoming objections.
  • Mechanical/Product aptitude: Basic knowledge of a specific product line. Must be able to offer appropriate product to customer. Aptitude to quickly learn about additional product lines.
  • Literate on Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word & SAP.
