Position Details:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Safety, you will partner with a variety of Grainger customers across industries in the Binghamton, NY area, using your expertise to conduct hazard and risk assessments to identify customer needs or opportunities to improve their programs. Using Grainger's products, services and resources, you will design solutions to reduce those hazards and risks while expanding the Grainger business relationship with these organizations. In collaboration with the aligned Grainger sales team, you will develop a strategy to target and support customer needs across the territory.
You Will:
- Conduct needs analysis to determine a match between the customer's requirement and Grainger's products or services.
- Engage Grainger resources to develop plan and timeline to implement solution.
- Drive implementation plan with customer.
- Check with customer to ensure needs are met.
- Leverage post-implementation success to gain more information from the customer about future needs.
- Maintain expertise in Safety Regulations and industry topics.
- Educate customers on changing market trends and technology and impact to their business.
- Investigate nonstandard solutions that will profitably satisfy a customer's needs.
- Expand customer understanding and use of Grainger's standard product and service capabilities.
You Have:
- 5+ years of relevant EHS industry experience involving safety hazard analysis and mitigation, safety consulting or responsibility for overseeing safety programs.
- Bachelor's degree including the fields of Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, or equivalent experience.
- CSP ideal
- Experience conducting workplace assessments to prevent injuries / accidents and improve compliance.
- Knowledgeable of Safety, Health and Environmental strategies and practices to reduce or eliminate hazards and risks.
- Current working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Basic project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A desire to help others.
- Customers supported will generally be in the Binghamton area.
Compensation:
This position is salaried and will pay between $79,000. to 131,600. plus 10% bonus eligibility target. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to: a candidate's experience, qualifications, geographical area, and internal equity of the team.
