Candidate Accessibility

At Grainger, we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all. This includes providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities throughout our hiring process as well as throughout the course of employment. Should you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact us so we can provide appropriate assistance.

How to Request an Accommodation

Each candidate’s access needs vary, and what is accessible for one candidate may not be accessible for all. If you need assistance or an accommodation, please contact our accommodations team at MedicalAccommodationRequest@grainger.com or call 224-205-0954. The information you provide will be treated as confidential and will be used only to create an accessible experience for you.

Examples of candidates who might find an accommodation helpful:

  • People who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • People who are blind, have low vision or have other visual impairments
  • People who have limited mobility
  • People who are neurodivergent (e.g., ADHD, autism, or other cognitive challenges)

Individual needs vary; please contact us if you have an accommodation need. Below are a few examples of accommodations we can provide:

  • Closed captioning (CC) in virtual meetings
  • We use Microsoft Teams for our virtual meetings, and you can enable its auto-caption functionality. If you need assistance with doing this, let us know.
  • Additional time for interviews and/or breaks between interview sessions
  • Additional time for assessments
  • Presence of a service animal
  • Seating arrangements that allow the candidate to see the interviewer’s face clearly to help with lip reading

Our accommodations team works with candidates and team members. Should you be hired, our team will support you throughout onboarding.
