Position Details:


Key financial leadership role responsible for US FP&A, developing strategies and impacts to promote faster growth and provide direct support to the merchandising and supplier management organization. You will be an essential advisor to the SVPs of the Grainger Business Unit and CFO around opportunities to improve growth and capture share gain, along with direct support to the VP of Merchandising/Pricing and Senior leaders in Sourcing and Indirect procurement. You will provide both financial and business analysis to the organization to guide profitable sales growth and customer satisfaction. Analyze important business and financial metrics to increase results within the supported teams.  You will report directly to the Sr Director, Financial Analysis.


You Will:


Lead a team of 11-15 finance professionals supporting, US FP&A Planning & Forecast, Merchandising, Pricing, Sourcing and Indirect Procurement. Address issues, interpret and guide our performance, and provide forecasts of future performance. Provide dedicated staff direction to support the leadership team and the entire organization. These teams consolidate the US Business which is ~$10B in revenue and ~$2B in SG&A.  Identify opportunities to improve profitable expansion of pricing strategies while balancing market relevance and customer needs.  Use sales operations and sourcing data to help the business to improve efficiency, higher customer satisfaction, and growth.  Lead teams dedicated to share gain activities for pricing and merchandising strategies/impact, including customer experience metrics (Web, Call Volume, etc.).  Finance expert around growth plans across the US. Leading views for essential performance metrics across all segments.  Build an appropriate financial organization to support our changing needs.  Develop the technical skills of the group.



You Have:


  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Managerial experience with analytical teams
  • Knowledge of customer-back thinking
  • Analysis of issues from different angles to measure the tactical execution of projects
  • Change and growth leadership
  • Build agreement across many departments
