Position Details

The Program Coordinator (Legal Services) reports to the Director of Legal Operations. As the Program Coordinator (Legal Services) you will operate independently to provide administrative and decision support for Grainger's legal organization including the Legal Operations, Global Security and Loss Prevention, Environmental Health & Safety, and the VP of Ethics, Compliance and Privacy functions. This includes supporting multiple leaders within the legal department including the Director of Legal Operations, the Senior Director of Global Security and Loss Prevention, the Senior Director of Global Environmental, Health & Safety and the VP of Ethics, Compliance and Privacy.  The position is Hybrid requiring 3 days per week in office at our Lake Forest, IL Headquarters.

You Will

  • Support administrative efforts including coordinating activities and managing event logistics for person and/or virtual meetings.
  • Manage leader's time through strategic and proactive calendar management and scheduling, including preparing any necessary documentation (e.g., agenda, presentations) for scheduled events.
  • Improve end-to-end processes across the Legal Operations, Environmental, Health and Safety, Security Loss Prevention, Ethics, Compliance and Privacy teams.
  • Manage SharePoint sites to ensure information is updated and accurate.
  • Compose, modify, and proofread correspondence, reports, or presentations from general instruction or leveraging your special knowledge of the team and Company.
  • Track departmental expenses and resolve/reconcile discrepancies on general ledger budget accounts, including timely processing of invoices and expense reports.
  • Develop dashboards and perform data analysis.
  • Complete newsletters.
  • Support data entry, conduct research and basic administration as directed.
  • Help with additional projects on an ad-hoc basis.

You Have

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 3 plus years of relevant work experience
  • History of building relationships with partners including senior executives
  • Experience in an environment that experiences frequent change
  • Communicate essential information both in writing and verbally
  • Capability of understanding the audience and ensuring content and method of communication is relevant
  • Locate and gather confidential information from the appropriate source to help resolve business issues.
  • Presence to represent senior executives in all business communications
  • Strong proficiency using common desktop applications
  • Ability to analyze data and complete research as directed
