About Grainger Platform Engineering
Platform Engineering is a hybrid software/systems group that ensures Grainger's services and products scale and are able to rapidly deploy in a low touch, well-tested environment. Platform Engineers work with Grainger's product and operations teams, to create re-usable capabilities that make software deployments secure, compliant, and reliable. Managing a Platform Engineering product requires a strong understanding of the software delivery lifecycle and the infrastructure that enables it. Your team will be responsible for delivering a set of capabilities under a defined bounded context. Your role is crucial to guide the evolution of these capabilities as products with a team of engineers. Because our customers on engineers, you need knowledge about a wide range of technologies, a focus on developing the skills of your team, and a continuous drive toward value-driven prioritization.
