Primary function: Leads the team that develops strategy and analytics and operationalize visible List pricing, and standard and custom pricing offers that are aligned with the needs of the customer, the competitive market and balance growth and profitability outcomes for Grainger Mexico (GMEX). Provides pricing expertise and business perspective to guide decision-making across multiple areas of the GMEX business including Sales, Finance, Merchandising and Supplier Management, Pricing execution and Inventory Management. 

The employee must be a specialist, among others, in the following functions: ▪ Guarantee that all processes related to the margin of GMEX are given in time and in the right way (Process: Cost, Price List, CSP/Contracts, Inventory) to achieve GMEX Margin goals. ▪ Reprice CSP portfolio periodically (2 to 4 times per year) ensuring financial alignment from a margin point of view by customer/SKU and competitiveness. ▪ Develop pricing strategies which balance customer price & value perceptions, market conditions, profitability, and business strategy ▪ Establish and Maintain a Profitable Discount Scheme for Primary Pricing and by customer for the CSP portfolio. ▪ Evaluate and optimize commercial agreements ensuring pricing competitiveness and profitability by customer. ▪ Establish goals and assess performances of pricing strategies and programs ▪ Works to ensure strategic programs have the correct underlying technology in place by working hand in hand with GTG ▪ Implement pricing strategies to ensure margin neutrality or expansion. ▪ Develop a robust pricing strategy to drive sales with a profitable margin. ▪ Work together with cross functional teams to implement sales/margin strategies and value propositions by customer segments, channels and/or individual customers, to increase sales and maximize profit. ▪ Set the strategic pricing architecture, communication, metrics, and measurement, managing priorities and execution. ▪ Manage competitive market pricing intelligence, key competitors’ strategies/tactics and customer needs to set a competitive pricing architecture and segmentation (by channel, by customer type, by product line, by SKU), as well as adequate discount and promotion policies to maximize sales and profit. ▪ Conduct pricing optimization analysis in different segments (by channel, by customer type, by product line, by SKU). ▪ Attract and develop talent to build a leadership bench.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred Actuary, Economics, Marketing or Engineering) ▪ Familiarity with data science.

Experience should include B2B and B2C pricing and commercial strategy management ▪ Experience with similar industries at multinational/global companies. ▪ 5 years working with Profitability Analysis. ▪ 5 years in Report Management and KPIs. ▪ 5 years experience in developing multi-channel pricing strategies. Fully bilingual (Spanish-English). ▪ English level: advanced. ▪ Market intelligence and retail industry acumen. ▪ Business Intelligence, Big Data and Excel (Visual Basic) proficiency. ▪ Basic knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, R (Statistical programing), SAP, SQL solutions. ▪ Negotiation skills and highly abstract and holistic thinking. ▪ Understanding of the competitive market and customer needs. ▪ Proven track record managing effective revenue management and pricing strategies for large multinational companies.
