The Business Analyst Lead provides strategic leadership for enterprise business intelligence capabilities across analytics, data science, and digital analytics. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and advancing analytics solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights and measurable business value.

Partnering closely with the Director of Business Analytics, this position helps define priorities and mature enterprise analytics capabilities through strong governance, standards, and best practices. The Business Analyst Lead collaborates cross-functionally and with executive leadership to ensure analytics investments align with organizational strategy and support informed, data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and third-party partners to translate business needs into scalable, governed, and reusable analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Design and deliver insights using business intelligence, analytics, data science, and digital analytics tools through descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive methods.
  • Establish, document, and maintain enterprise standards and best practices across analytics intake, development, access controls, delivery processes, and output quality.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to implement best practices and continuously improve the end-to-end analytics lifecycle.
  • Proactively develop measurement plans that support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to streamline and automate analytics and operational processes.
  • Coach and mentor analysts on visualization best practices, efficient data modeling, effective storytelling, and optimal project design.
  • Support onboarding and training of new analysts and interns.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Management team to enhance and evolve the enterprise data platform.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, analytics, statistics, business, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of working knowledge with SQL, Snowflake, Python, and Jira.
  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools, including demonstrated data modeling expertise.
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Digital marketing analytics experience, including exposure to:
    • Customer segmentation and audience analysis
    • Cross-channel performance analysis
    • E-commerce merchandising and product search
    • Product information management
    • SEO and paid digital advertising
  • Experience integrating and administering third-party applications and data sources.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in analytics or a related discipline.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL, R, Python, Jira, and Microsoft tools (Excel, Access, Azure/SQL, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Experience with machine learning and AI-driven analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, Microsoft Clarity, and Qualtrics.
  • Experience supporting analytics initiatives in Sales, Procurement, and Distribution environments.
