Process Management Analyst

The Process Management Analyst leads/oversees select functions which support the daily productivity and profitability of the Grainger U.S. product portfolio. The role is responsible for communicating daily with business partners to ensure accuracy and compliance of supplier commitments and obligations to Grainger. The role is responsible for consistent execution of departmental processes while ensuring their standardization, optimization, and continued review for improvement.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing and reporting continuous Product Management
  • Operations across the following functions:
  • New Supplier Activation and Addition
  • Authoring, maintaining, and deploying Supplier Compliance literature
  • Supplier Maintenance and Discontinuation
  • Product Stop Sales and Recalls
  • Retain Material Execution and Reporting
  • Certificates of Product Compliance and Conformance
  • Customer Specific Inventory
  • Product Liability Insurance
  • Supplier Financial Risk Assessment
  • Establish and regularly evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement in the area of supplier and product process performance:
  • Design and facilitate operational requirements, documentation, and measurements
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase speed, improve quality, and lower total cost of operating requirements for portfolio performance
  • Cultivate, develop, and manage regional business partner relationships including but not limited to:
    • Product Team Members
    • Purchasing
    • Inventory Management
    • Customer Service
    • Distribution Operations
    • Brand Management
    • Sourcing
  • Ensure suppliers are held accountable to operational performance on a scheduled basis
  • Actively communicate key developments/impacts to the business as a result of desired or unacceptable supplier/product performance
  • Design processes and solutions for scalability beyond the current Grainger U.S. Business
  • Protects corporate and customer interests from potential liability and risk related to defective and/or undocumented product information
  • Serve as Product Management Operations subject matter expert for assigned process


Preferred Education &Experience:

  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing /inventory mgmt and/or operations management role in a supply chain driven organization

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Process Management experience
  • Functional expertise in Supply Chain
  • Strong leadership skills which foster teamwork, mutual support, responsibility, and accountability
