We are hiring a Shipping Processor at our Reno, NV distribution center.

 

This is a full time position working Monday through Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM).  No nights or weekends!  18 paid days off. 6 paid holidays. Day 1 benefits including medical, dental and vision.  6% company contribution to 401K with immediate vesting.

 

In this full time Shipping Processor role, you will be responsible for safe and accurate shipment processing functions including carrier routing decisions based on shipment weight, customer requirements and destination location. Provide back up in the absence of the Shipping Coordinator.

Specifically, you will:

Ship customer orders using Parcel Manifesting system including accurate data entries, Bill of Lading, manifest printing, Canadian export documents and other carrier documentation. Ensure delivery within customer requirements. 

Accurately perform shipment research to include tracking and VOC research. Provide input on resolution and process improvements as needed.

Sort, Check and Pack customer orders verifying correct unit quantities, using scanners, proper packing materials, packing guidelines involving hazardous materials.

Prepare orders for shipment including palletizing and wrapping, loading and unloading trucks, scheduling carrier pick-ups, rate quoting and special instructions to carriers.

 

Your background should include:  High school diploma or a GED equivalent and valid state driver’s license, one year of general warehouse/distribution knowledge, or one year of manufacturing or warehousing operating experience and experience with ship manifesting, shipment of parcel, truck shipments, handling of hazardous materials.
