We are currently hiring a Shipping Crew Leader at our Janesville, WI Distribution Center.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (10:30 AM – 7:00 PM).

 

No weekends or holidays! Paid Time Off includes 18 days available during your first year. Imperial offers Day 1 benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additionally, we provide six paid holidays, and the company contributes 6% to a 401K with immediate vesting.

As a full-time Shipping Crew Leader, you will be responsible for directing safe and accurate shipping activities within the Imperial Supplies Regional Distribution Center.

 

Your duties will include scheduling workload assignments, controlling workflow within checking, shipment packing, restock, and product transfers to other Regional Distribution Centers, as well as redirecting personnel to accomplish daily service objectives and reassigning the workforce accordingly most efficiently.

 

You will also be responsible for training department personnel, providing assertive and timely communication to team members and leadership regarding safety, teamwork, and quality, and coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to meet personal and company objectives.

 

Additionally, you will interface with carrier personnel, serving as a subject matter expert in carrier Bill of Lading and manifest requirements, carrier routing requirements, parcel manifesting system, and specific customer requested packaging requirements. Maintaining records including labor records, inventory transactions, and personnel time records as required by the Supervisor will be part of your responsibilities, as well as being responsible for company asset control involving inventory accuracy and capital equipment.

 

You will also communicate with the Inventory Control Administrator regarding inventory discrepancies, ensure packing and checking accuracy is maintained before products are shipped to our customers, and research shipment errors. Furthermore, you will assist in the development and direction of Continuous Improvement Projects.

 

Your background should include a High School diploma/GED equivalent and two (2) years of general knowledge of distribution/manufacturing operations. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and have the ability to spend most of your time standing and walking in a warehouse environment.
