As an intern at Imperial, we’ll help you design an experience that meets your learning objectives while helping you explore how the areas of our business relate and interact. You’ll enjoy a variety of day-to-day work assignments, cross-functional meetings, exposure to executive leadership, and soft skill development.

Imperial Supplies is a growing distributor of fleet maintenance products. We’ve been based in Green Bay since 1958 and have a strong history of double digit annual growth!

This paid internship is scheduled for Fall semester. 10-12 weeks for up to 20 hours per week depending on student interest and availability. Willing to provide supporting documentation for students seeking school credit

Internship requirements

  • Active enrollment in a 2 or 4 year accredited college in a relevant course of study.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 based on a 4.0 scale
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, and be able to work effectively and build relationships with others.
  • Good organization and planning skills

 

Human Resources Internship

Potential learning outcomes:

  • Understand how Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Training and Employee Relations functions interact and complement each other within an HR team
  • Gain exposure to HR software and tools including Success Factors (SAP), Pay Factors, Articulate and Tableau
  • Review data and trends within HR analytics including turnover, time-to-fill, and other important metrics to understand the impact of HR initiatives on the business
  • Application of employment law in day-to-day HR decisions and initiatives

Potential day-to-day responsibilities

  • Review resumes, observe/participate in interviews
  • Research competitive information related to compensation and benefits                
  • Observe and participate in processing leave of absence claims, reasonable accommodation requests
  • Plan company events and activities to increase employee engagement
  • Create recruitment materials in print and online to market Imperial as an employer
  • Create online training courses
