Position Details:

The Head of Human Resources is responsible for the design, implementation and communication of company-wide recruiting, development, training, compensation recommendations, and policy / procedures. The Head of HR establishes a strategy that ensures all company programs are sustainable, scale-able and have a positive impact on the long- and short-term performance of the organization.


 


 

You Will:

  • Lead the HR team and manage the local areas of HR Operations, which includes Compensation and Total Rewards; Talent Acquisition and HR Advisory to support performance issues, team member experience, policies, ethics, and compliance.
  • Lead the HRBP's that support each of the Imperial functions and their Executive leadership team.
  • Identify appropriate uses of HR technology to ensure optimal efficiency, administration, and compliance.
  • Provide change management mindset as we implement changes
  • Develop recruiting and retention strategies through HR Business partnerships.
  • Lead succession planning with an understanding of Imperials staff
  • Construct training programs for all departments to help develop associates main competencies and promote employee engagement
  • Work with HR at Grainger, legal counsel, and internal staff to develop employment policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with local, state and federal laws in which Imperial operates in
  • Work with the Green Bay community to help brand Imperial as the best place to work
  • Manage all Daily HR Responsibilities at Imperial, such as employee engagement, employee relations issues, lead region HR teams; conduct performance management, development, coaching, and mentoring activities with direct reports.
  • Advise management regarding employee relations risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with all company, government, labor, and transportation industry regulations
  • Ensure effective communication is occurring through multiple methods that connect employees' work to the broader business strategy
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of HQ and distribution management teams; recommend and provide interventions with the support of HR specialists
  • Partner with the Centers of Excellence at Grainger to shape strategies in Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Learning and Development, HR Operations and Employee Relations.

 

You Have:

  • Expert in leading strategic benefits and HRIS operations with proficiency in interpreting and applying HR regulations and practices.
  • Have an in-depth working knowledge in HR, benefits, policies, processes, compliance and leave administration.
  • Experience in a Senior HR leadership role, managing all aspects of HR
  • Compensation knowledge

 

15% travel to Imperial locations (US only)
