What You’ll Do

  • Develop, automate, and refine financial tools and deliverables for Finance and cross-functional teams
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
  • Provide KPI analysis and decision support to functional leaders, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Analyze and present monthly results, offering insights to improve business performance
  • Lead efforts around planning cycles, including the annual operating plan and forecasts
  • Partner with Grainger’s Specialty Brand Finance teams to exchange best practices and enhance impact
  • Influence senior leadership through presentations and recommendations based on data-driven insights
  • Apply a controllership mindset to ensure accuracy, transparency, and operational impact of financial decisions

 

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business (required)
  • Experience: 3+ years in financial or analytical roles, ideally with exposure to FP&A or business analysis
  • Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, formulas, modeling)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills through data
    • Experience with large datasets; SQL a strong plus
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
