The Sales Support - Project Coordinator manages the internal activities related to the implementation of large, complex new business and existing customer opportunities. Serves as point of contact for Imperial’s outside sales organization.  Resolves complex and/or unusual customer concerns, develops new processes as required and acts as a point of reference for each customer sensitive event.


  • Complete Statement of Work (SOW) on all critical projects for large, complex new customers and existing top 300 customer base including Requests for Proposals, responses to competitive threats and/or onboarding of a new customer or program. SOW may include outline of timeline, responsibilities, deliverables and resources required. Collaborate cross-departmentally, manage expectations, communicate changes and hold others accountable to achieve results. 
  • Develop new processes as required for successful project or customer implementation. Present updates, results and recommendations for improvement to manager, sales team and senior leadership. Streamline existing processes for enhanced communication, tracking, and cost control.
  • Work in close partnership with New Business Development and National Account Executives in understanding the needs of complex customer opportunities. Communicate directly with customers, outside vendors, Grainger team members and senior leadership as required.     
  • Initiate dialog with outside sales teams to discuss complex and/or unusual circumstances outlined in site visit or key meeting notes. Take a lead role in identifying potential red flags and recommend an action plan to mitigate risk.  
  • Manage the implementation of procurement platforms for new and existing customers assigned to outside sales. Lead communication between customer, sales and IT resources. Resolve platform related issues.
  • Analyze return on investment for deployed resources and/or deviations used to support critical projects. Manage all documentation and communication relating to service, sales, participation and revenue development. Present reporting to sales team and senior leadership.
  • Review funnel opportunities with Lead Generation Program Manager to identify top prospects in each new business territory. Research and validate large, centralized prospect opportunities with Contact Center and make recommendations to sales leadership for prioritization.    



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience and 3-5 years experience in customer service, marketing, sales or related business experience.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority. Leadership and decision making skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills. Intermediate to advanced excel skills including ability to manipulate, sort, and present large amounts of data, knowledge of V-lookups and formulas.  
  • Detail and results oriented. Ability to handle multiple priorities.
