The Sales Analyst will

 

  • Collect, organize and interpret data from multiple data sources at macro and micro levels in complex data sets. Create and distribute powerful visualizations that are easily consumable for stakeholders and provide analytically based recommendations for action and additional exploration. 

 

  • Track responses to recommendations and provide appropriate reporting and responding actions to check and adjust.  Lead analytic efforts targeted at improving communications to management and across the Company, as well as influencing improvements in revenue, productivity, and/or cost reductions. 

 

  • Develop investigative skills in collection and interpretation of data in order to provide innovative recommendations to support complex business decisions and clearly address the needs of various levels in the organization.

 

  • Develop analytics in operations related issues including freight, inventory management, DC operations, purchasing and related product cost management. Develop reporting and models that identify baseline product line extension opportunities. Create market segment analysis and other marketing performance related topics. 

 

  • Ensure appropriate communications to all stakeholders to confirm revenue opportunities meet margin guidelines.

 

  • Work on special initiatives to include streamlining of processes, quality initiatives, or leading small to large scale projects for the purpose of process improvement. 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience and 3-5 years previous experience in analytics required; Bachelor’s degree and experience in a sales-driven environment preferred.

 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.  Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong organizational skills required.

 

  • Substantial knowledge of Excel required; experience with systems queries, report writing, PowerPoint and related presentation skills strongly preferred.

 

  • Statistical analyst’s methods and software (ex. Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, R, and Python) and sales and/or operations experience a plus. Background in Six Sigma, Agile, or Lean would also be beneficial.
