The Risk and Compliance Coordinator will


  • Maintain and manage established procedures and plans of Risk Management function including Emergency Response, Disaster Recovery, and communication systems for Imperial’s Corporate location and Distribution Centers.


  • Assist Manager and other Imperial departments with plan and procedure documentation to ensure compliance, business continuity and disaster planning. Train key stakeholders cross-departmentally and assist in the annual reviews of risk management procedures. Oversee the communication of internal policies and procedures to affected areas of the organization. Ensure recordkeeping requirements within approved systems are met.


  • Prepare, maintain, document and communicate plans for areas of Risk Management as directed by Manager. Keep abreast Imperial required training, manage and determine appropriate action for correspondence related to opportunities and risk. Ensure training is provided in a timely manner to all team members.


  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and third party contacts regarding risk management projects. Manage expectations of internal and external customers.


  • Serve as subject matter expert for government compliance. Keep abreast of Grainger and Imperial required training, manage and determine appropriate action for correspondence related to government customers.


  • Assist as directed in drafting and reconciling contractual provisions to accurately represent desired terms, organizational needs and expectations. Draft necessary agreements pertaining to variations in existing programs offered to customers ensuring the interests of Imperial are protected, risks are mitigated and the program meets necessary compliance requirements.


  • Assist as needed in the review of contractual performance including executing necessary reporting. Recommend opportunities to reduce regulatory, reputational or margin risks.  Enforce, as requested, organizational compliance.





  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience and 2 years’ experience in risk management, marketing, project management or related business field.


  • Effective verbal & written communication and strong business writing skills.


  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and handle multiple priorities.
