Compensation:
The base salary for this role ranges between $ 74,880 - $ 102,960, with eligibility for an incentive target of 5% which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. Primary Function:
Reporting to the Market Manager, the Field Operations Manager role leads strategic direction and decision-making to drive customer-focused business growth, leveraging market insights and cross-functional collaboration within the Branch environment as well as KeepStock territory within the same geography. It ensures operational excellence through efficient resource management, continuous improvement, and compliance with safety and service standards. At the core, it fosters a high-performing, engaged team through coaching, development, and effective talent strategies across a geographically dispersed workforce.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Leadership
- Communicates a clear business strategy to branch teams and KeepStock Teams, embracing change and aligning with Grainger’s customer-first mission.
- Builds strong internal and external partnerships to differentiate Grainger’s value and embed technical expertise as a competitive advantage.
- Makes sound, fact-based decisions and takes measured risks while balancing service, cost, ethics, and integrity.
- Understands market trends and customer needs to guide strategic direction and ensure tailored solutions are deployed effectively
Operational Excellence
- Drives operational efficiency by balancing expenses with service quality and removing non-value-added activities.
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement through CI methodologies and achievement of expense targets.
- Ensures compliance with BBX standards, safety protocols, and maintenance of branch facilities and surrounding areas as well as supporting and reinforcing KeepStock Standards. .
- Manages profitability and operational KPIs across customer programs, partnering with Sales, DC, Branch, and Transportation teams.
Talent Management
- Creates an engaged, empowered, and communicative team environment that supports diverse ideas and proactive feedback.
- Coaches and develops team members through performance reviews, onboarding, training, and recognition programs.
- Implements staffing strategies with the right mix of full-time and part-time team members to support flexibility and growth.
- Leads a small geographically dispersed team of Onsite Service Representative(s), ensuring development, engagement, and successful customer program execution.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Over 5 years of experience in retail, manufacturing, or industrial business, including 2+ years in people leadership and customer service roles.
- Proven ability to lead teams in KPI-driven environments with a strong focus on training, development, and performance management.
- Demonstrated success in project management, change leadership, and implementing cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across varying levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experienced in financial accountability, including P&L management and consistently meeting operational and financial targets.
- Skilled in process improvement, planning, facilitation, and time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working in matrixed and remote team environments.
- Travel experience (20%+), managing customer programs and site visits within territory • Holds an associate degree or equivalent experience, with a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance meeting company standards.
