Primary Function:

 

This Sr. Analyst will work with the Customer Experience and Excellence (CEE) team and cross-functional partners internally with the primary responsibility to support the team through operational analysis and business improvement.

The role will have two main components; first, the routine creation and analysis of KPI’s and the resulting implications, and second, business improvement projects to steer key initiatives from conception to completion.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

Reporting and Application

  • Champion data and analytics strategy with stakeholders across the organization, influence cross functional teams to build reporting that drive results.
  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in operational analytics by leading, coaching, developing agile team members to create business critical reporting.
  • Provide both short and long-term solutions by creating optimal solutions to address critical business needs; prepare and present business insights for senior leaders that drive action.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business reporting requirements and create timely and accurate reports for internal and external business partners for their use in making informed decisions to effectively meet or exceed departmental goals.
  • Effectively correlate multiple data points to create metrics and reports across the business to tell a holistic story; automates where possible to eliminate redundancies.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to understand root cause of various customer service challenges and issues presented to the business and identify recommended solutions.
  • Serve as liaison between end users in department and Grainger’s Enterprise Systems organization.
  • Build, test, and deploy workflow enhancement tools such as Forms, Power Automate, and Power Apps.

 

Process Management

 

  • Responsible for operational excellence by ensuring the development and maintenance of standard processes on order to cash projects.
  • Understand current state and make recommendations to drive actions towards our goals.
  • Efficiently translate business requirements and user expectations into detailed specifications by creating work breakdown structures, process maps, workflow charting and project tracking
  • Partners with key process stakeholders across all functional and support groups on process standardization initiatives. 
  • Mapping of the current state of business processes and make recommendations to address any gaps that could risk a seamless and consistent customer experience
  • Ensure all process designs are end to end across the organization and are developed in conjunction with all relevant functions.
  • Proficient relationship management skills and interacts positively with teammates and business partners; handles conflict gracefully.

 

Communication and training

 

  • Performs needs assessments and analyzes the most effective method of deploying the recommended change(s).
  • Demonstrate ability to leverage both business acumen and technical skills to deliver results.
  • Build and support the implementation of effective training, communication, adoption, and change management plans.
  • Develop productive working relationships at corporate and field levels to drive awareness and consistency in execution of Customer Experience Excellence programs and initiatives.
  • Prioritizes work to meet aggressive deadlines and communicates proactively of any setbacks.

 

Preferred Education & Experience: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics, Business, or related field.
  • Knowledge and working experience across the entire Power Platform (e.g., PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Proficient working with systems such as SAP, Teradata, SQL Server and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office functionality (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) expected
  • Strong Business, analytical and problem-solving skill with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work cross-functionally across various teams by fostering, managing, and leveraging relationships with stakeholders, team members, and end users.
  • Self-directed with accountability to make sound business decisions while demonstrating effective time-management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proactively identify problems and determine corrective actions by building clear plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional demeanor at all times.
  • High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
