Compensation:

 

The base salary for this role ranges between $123,280 - $169,510, with eligibility for an incentive target of 20% which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

The pay range above is not a guarantee of compensation but reflects the potential total compensation for this role at the time of this posting based on the assigned job grade.  Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills.  The stated range is a reasonable estimate and may change over time; final compensation may fall above or below the range provided.  Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or discontinue its compensation and benefits programs at any time, in accordance with applicable law.

Position Details

Leads teams that develop strategy and analytics and operationalize visible Web pricing, and standard and custom pricing offers that are aligned with the needs of the customer, the competitive market and balance growth and profitability outcomes for Grainger Canada (GCAN). Provides Pricing expertise and business perspective to guide decision making across multiple areas of the GCAN business including Sales, Finance, Merchandising and Supplier Management, Supply Chain and Inventory Management. Acts as representative of the Sr Director, Primary Pricing in strategic projects and initiatives.



You Will

  • Develops pricing strategies which balance customer price & value perceptions, market conditions, profitability, and business strategy
  • Leads the development and delivery of critical pricing and profitability programs for the large and medium size customers
  • Leads the operations and communication for key pricing programs in partnership with sales operations
  • Works to ensure strategic programs have the correct underlying technology in place by working hand in hand with GTG
  • Establishes goals and assesses performances of pricing strategies and programs
  • Drives continuous improvement, compliance and adherence to pricing guidance, governance, and tools
  • Leverages internal and external market information to enhance and continuously innovate pricing strategies
  • Build support for new strategies and approaches across senior leadership and key stakeholders within the organization
  • Lead a team of Analysts and Sr Professionals

 

 

You Have

  • Pricing experience including advanced knowledge and experience using pricing models & analytics to drive strategic decisions
  • Experience in B2B distribution industry and good understanding of end to end processes
  • Strategic consulting skills with ability to assess needs of business and develop effective strategies that meet topline and bottom line goals
  • Strong strategic, analytical, planning and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data to create insights and recommendations to drive customer-product relevant pricing to maximize sales and margins
  • Ability to understand, synthesize and explain methodologies and outcomes to senior leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels within organization and externally
  • Strong decision –making ability to include skill at balancing strategy and execution, evaluating contrasting perspectives.
  • Excellent leader who builds strong engaged teams who grow and develop
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate conversations with multiple audiences
  • Experience working in large matrixed organizations
