Compensation:

The base salary for this role ranges between $ x - $ y, with eligibility for an incentive target of  5% which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

Position Details

This person will participate in the execution and analysis of Grainger Canada's customer contract portfolio strategies and tactics. Working under the Senior Manager, Contract Lifecycle Management, this role conducts detailed business and financial analysis and will be working closely with various cross functional groups to grow overall company profitability. The Contract Strategy Analyst I role will be driving the execution of contract performance reporting to enhance data-driven decision-making.



You Will

  • Develop scalable reports and tools to track and manage existing contracts and partner with key stakeholders to define key metrics for contract realization monitoring
  • Build dashboards to provide real time and actionable insights into portfolio performance and management
  • Optimize current processes through tool and reporting build related to deal formation and contract management
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to develop and improve Grainger Canada's deal formation process
  • Develop quantitative, actionable insights that drive decision-making through the application of statistical, and/or advanced data analytics techniques
  • Identify opportunities to automate or simplify reporting workflows, reducing manual effort and improving timeliness for internal and customer facing reporting
  • Establish and document standardized reporting definitions, KPIs, and governance practices to improve consistency and transparency
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and high-impact initiatives related to contract lifecycle management and performance improvement
  • Act as a subject-matter resource, helping to bridge capability gaps while accelerating delivery of priority initiatives
  • Responsible for the documentation, maintenance, and execution of various reporting processes
  • Develop and execute internal, as well as field, communications regarding reporting initiatives, corresponding impacts and post analysis
  • Collaborate with the other parts of the organization including finance, sales, services and sales support

 

You Have

  • Associate's Degree Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience. required
  • 2+ years of experience in a business analyst or reporting-focused role preferred
  • Strong technical proficiency with SQL Server, Snowflake, BI/visualization tools, and Microsoft Office including Smartsheet.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and managing large, complex datasets.
  • Solid financial and analytical skills with the ability to apply insights in decision-making environments.
  • Strong communication and business writing skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and continuously seeking opportunities for process and performance improvement.
