Position Summary

Under limited supervision, the Bilingual - Cross Referencing Specialist will be in charge of completing cross reference product requests submitted to the Technical Product Support team by the sales organization as they are prioritized by the Cross Referencing Manager. This team member will also be a key subject matter expert on any cross reference related continuous improvement initiatives that may require gather data or giving feedback on system function needs and limitations as directed by the Cross Referencing Manager.


 

You Will

  • Reviews external product crossing lists entered by Sales/Customer Support, and ensure necessary details are provided.
  • Review completion deadlines requested for external product crosses and communicate any challenges with expected deadlines as needed to the Cross Referencing Manager.
  • Review competitor/manufacturer parts submitted by the sales team, and determine the best internal product to offer the customer to replace the previous item.
  • Identify and capture the match type and part numbers of the suggested items
  • Document/communicate any key variances between the original and suggested items to sales team.
  • Review and report website description or specification errors or omissions to Category Support Team.

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree / college diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 1+ 3 years of mechanic, or parts management, or customer service, or field service, database maintenance experience preferred
  • Must be fluently bilingual in both English and French, written and spoken.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership and decision making skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Some technical background is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the parts industry.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
