Position Summary:

 

The Service team provides comprehensive training and safety certifications. This role involves working remotely, onsite, or in-shop to inspect, service, repair, and ship Grainger and customer safety products like breathing apparatus, fall arrest equipment, gas monitors, torque wrenches, and chain hoists, following manufacturing standards and company procedures. The position requires extended work at customer sites and shop-based work, depending on business and customer needs.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

·  Test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, documenting work and preparing estimates.

·  Operate hand and power tools and maintain parts inventory for mobile units and shop.

·  Manage product inventory, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and loading/unloading.

·  Prepare and review shipping/receiving documentation using SAP, including rental equipment handling.

·  Maintain an organized, clean work area and uphold company principles through teamwork and accountability.

·  Participate in EHS (COR) program, observe safety regulations, and complete required training.

·  Adapt to additional duties as business needs evolve.

 

Education/Experience (Required):

 

  • Due to the nature of this role, bilingualism (English and French) is a requirement (Fluency in French; Basic knowledge in English)

  • High school diploma

  • Strong time management, multitasking skills, and mechanical aptitude

  • Obtain two manufacturer certifications within the first year (training provided by Grainger)

  • Proficient with computer systems and software

  • Strong math skills, self-motivated, team player attitude

  • Able to lift 50 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license

  • Valid passport for occasional U.S. travel for training

  • This role requires visits to customer sites and adhering to customers’ health and safety regulations, including wearing PPE such as a hard hat, steel-toed boots, and, if necessary, an N95 mask (requiring clean-shaven or trimmed facial hair).
