Position Summary:
Our World-class Service team is committed to train and provide all the necessary safety certifications. The incumbent is required to work in the Grainger Services Operations.
Primarily duties and responsibilities will be performed remotely, onsite or in shop as required by the business. These duties will include such things as receive, inspect, service, repair, and ship customer and Grainger industrial and safety products such as self-contained breathing apparatus, perform fit testing, Training, fall arrest equipment, gas monitor units, torque wrenches, Grainger rental Equipment, chain hoists and other safety lifting devices in accordance with manufacturing standards and Grainger Services procedures. With our various wealth of products, our team members can specialize in various industries & verticals.
The successful incumbent will require the ability to work remote on customer site(s) for extended periods when required or in shop based on business requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Test equipment to confirm operating performance and completes required documentation.
- Investigate and troubleshoot main equipment issues in a quick turnaround time.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintain Parts inventory (in mobile units) and in shop.
- Complete training or fit testing as business requires.
- Receive customer products for service.
- Prepares estimates for customer or internal equipment.
- Complete repair(s) or service on authorized work orders.
- Review plans/schematics and specifications to determine required materials and/or sequence of repairs.
- Responsible for product inventory of warehouse by ensuring orders are picked, packed, shipped, received and/or put away accurately and in a timely manner.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and correct manner verifying merchandise with documents.
- Prepare receiving and shipping documentation in SAP, review receiving documentation, label material, prepare documentation for shipment of goods to client.
- Prepare, ship Grainger rental equipment as required.
- Receive and document Grainger rental return equipment.
- Maintain work area in an organized manner and take an active role in the shop’s cleanliness and maintenance when remote or in house.
- Actively support Company principles by suggest new ideas, be accountable for actions, work as a team and keep abreast of new products and opportunities.
- Actively participate in EHS (COR) program in the attached Grainger branch.
- Observe safety policies and procedures of Occupational Health & Safety Act and any other pertinent legislation governing applicable.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be required as business adapts to changing Business needs.
Education/Experience (Required):

Due to the nature of this role, bilingualism (English and French) is a requirement (Fluency in French; Basic knowledge in English)
- Completion of high school or equivalent
- Additional training or education in technical or business-related fields is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitasks and handle various priorities.
- Required to obtain a minimum of two (2) designated manufacturer certifications within 1st year of employment.
- Proficient and comfortable with using computer systems/software
- Mechanically inclined & experience in mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Self-motivator, autonomous and resourceful
- Good mathematical proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
- Proven ability to work with various computer programs.
- Valid driver’s license, on the road requirements (Company truck available)
- Valid passport & ability to travel to United States for training, certification purposes, as required.
This role may require you to attend our customers’ sites and to adhere to safety requirements in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, as it relates to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) on certain customer sites. This may include: a hard hat; steel-toed safety boots, clean shaven or trimmed moustache/beard in order to wear a close-fitted N95 mask or other required PPE.
